Improving Supply Chain Management by integrating RFID with IoT Shared Database: Proposing a System Architecture

Elena Puica

Abstract:

This scientific research paper proposes a system architecture for integrating Internet of Things (IoT) shared database and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) in supply chain management (SCM) with self-transactional materials. The architecture aims to improve inventory management, data transparency, resource utilization, and business insight by facilitating efficient information exchange between different layers of the supply chain. The use of self-transactional materials enables automated and seamless execution of transactions, eliminating human errors and delays in the supply chain processes. Furthermore, the IoT and RFID technologies enable real-time monitoring and tracking of inventory, improving accuracy and efficiency in SCM. The results suggest that the proposed architecture has the potential to significantly improve SCM performance. The feasibility and cost-effectiveness of implementing self-transactional materials in the supply chain should also be assessed to determine practicality. Overall, the proposed architecture represents an innovative and promising approach to improving SCM in the modern business landscape.
