| The introduction of Key Value Indicators (KVIs) reflects the growing need to align 6G technologies with societal and sustainability goals. This paper focuses on objective indicators, providing an in-depth analysis of the methods used to derive measurable and quantifiable data, beyond high-level evaluation frameworks. A classification into three categories—(i) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), (ii) application-related metrics, and (iii) Likert scale-based metrics—is proposed. A survey of pioneering European projects, including ADROIT-6G, TRIALSNET, SANDBOX, and Hexa-X II, is conducted to examine current approaches to objective indicator measurement. Furthermore, the paper presents how these indicators are defined and applied across multiple Proofs-of-Concept (PoCs) within the 6G-BRICKS framework. The findings highlight the importance of hybrid measurement approaches that combine technical performance with application- and user-centric metrics, contributing to the development of robust KVI evaluation methodologies for future 6G systems. |
