Abstract:

The application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a benchmark as much as the method for the design and management of the smart building lifecycle is concerned. This research explores the aspect of multidimensional BIM at the design, construction, operation, rehabilitation, demolition, and reuse phases of the building life cycle. Through utilization of 3D, 4D, 5D and 6D for realization of the optimal in a project, the research focuses on sustainability, efficient use of resources, and improved decision-making. With their application in all phases of the building's life cycle, interoperability and flexibility of the dimensions are also emphasized. With their application in all phases of the building's life cycle, interoperability and flexibility of the dimensions are also emphasized. Lastly, with the implementation of LCA and 6D throughout the Building's Lifecycle Phases (BLCP), stakeholders can prioritize sustainability for a more sustainable and resource-conscious project.
