Abstract:

The evolution of processors and algorithms addresses the needs of digitally transforming various fields of the public sector. Greece, in particular, shows ascending trends in digitization, especially in the last five years, where many State Services moved from bureaucratic inefficient processes to using state-of-the-art Information Systems. This is not the case in the Greek State Forensic Services - SFS, where the outdated procedures along with the limited to zero digitization result in major delays of the requested Medical Forensic Orders. Research in the fields of Distributed Information Systems and Artificial Intelligence concludes that such technologies play a vital role in achieving optimal digital transformation with enhanced user experience. This work highlights the development of a novel Web-Based Information System For Medical Forensics incorporating forensic case management, data input via mobile equipment and report compilation with AI assistance, making processes more efficient and accelerating the delivery of Justice.
